Contrary to popular belief, I don’t JUST listen to boy bands. Don’t get me wrong, if you have read any of my other boy band posts, you know I am a HUGE boy band fan. But – I also am a fan of other music, genres and bands that are not your usual boy bands.

And one of the non-boy-band bands on regular rotation at our house is the AMAZING Canadian rock band – Silverstein. Made up of lead singer Shane Told, guitarists Paul Marc Rousseau and Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler, they have been rocking since 2000. With 10 albums under their belt, they have really come through during lockdown, releasing A Beautiful Place to Drown just before COVID and Redux II this past November – two amazing albums that help keep me sane during those days that blur together when we can’t leave the house!
But more than that, Silverstein has done a FANTASTIC job at keep their fans engaged during the 2020 live music drought! I can not wait to see live shows again – and let’s keep our fingers crossed for that in 2021 – but Silverstein has given us not one or two virtual shows during lockdown – but FOUR!
Back in July, Silverstein did their first virtual live set. And it was exactly what we needed after four months of COVID lock downs and no live shows! And here we are almost a year after the first COVID lockdown, and Silverstein has once again given us something to look forward to in the middle of this dark, cold, Canadian February – three consecutive weekends of virtual concerts in their Out of This World tour!
This past weekend was rocking out to their Greatest Hits (and there were A LOT of them!), next weekend is Discovering the Waterfront (YAY!) and the last weekend of the tour is the acoustic set (very EXCITED for this one!). So, a BIG THANK YOU to Silverstein for continuing to reach out to fans during this last year and for giving us some live-ish experiences to get us through! We can’t wait to see you REALLY LIVE, hopefully soon!
