Well fellow Carats and non Carats – I recently fulfilled a BIG dream of mine; to see SEVENTEEN in concert. No, they did not come to my city, so I had to figure out which location to travel to, book flights, book hotels and the whole deal. BUT TOTALLY WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY!!!!!
I picked the Vancouver show, the first in their North American tour. And in this first show, they did not disappoint.
But first, we were lucky enough to fly into Vancouver in the morning, so we could check out the city and follow along in the footsteps of the SEVENTEEN boys. Several of them were quite active on their Instagram accounts in the days leading up to the concert, so I could see what they were up to and where they spent their time. And we made sure to check out a lot of the same locations!
The doors of the event opened at 6:00pm and we made sure to get there right on time to get the full show. And on our way to the show, we saw several other Carats with Carat-bombs in tow, ready for the show.
SEVENTEEN had no opener – but that was definitely for the best! Because who could open for them? So when they started, the crowd went absolutely wild! And of course they opened with one of their new smash hits – HOT! (Sorry about the video – I didn’t have enough sense to turn my camera into landscape mode).
The set list was a perfect mix of older and newer songs, unit songs and group songs. But one of my favorite’s was of course – Left & Right! Check out the video below from my husband’s phone – especially when they came out on the catwalk and even closer to those of us in the nose bleeds! I did miss some of their really old songs like Pretty U and Healing (my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE) but understand they have so many to pick from now, they can’t play them all!
They played for around 2.5 hours and finished the concert with a neverending Very Nice encore – which was hilarious and a great way to end the show!
I LOVED the concert – would definitely see them again any time they come even remotely close to my neck of the woods!
