First off, HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS SHOW?? As a fan of dance shows, drag shows and all kinds of over-the-top performance, you would think that I had already watched this show! But I only discovered this show after a fellow RuPaul’s Drag Race super-fan sent me the season 2 trailer.
For those of you new to Legendary, it is a voguing competition between teams of voguers – or “houses”. The show brings ballroom culture to the forefront – a scene where people “walk” for prizes and bragging rights at events known as balls – and the competition is FIERCE. And every single competition is like a RuPaul’s Drag Race “lip sync for your life” on performance enhancing drugs!
And you know how I love shows with a bit of drama – and this show does NOT disappoint! But funny enough the contestants don’t bring the bulk of the drama – it is the judges! Each competition is judged by Jameela Jamil, Law Roach, Leiomy Maldonado and Megan Thee Stallion, with Dashaun Wesley as Master of Ceremonies. And and every week is drama between the judges and who they pick as the house champion!
I have just finished watching Season 1 and am going to wait for Season 2 to completely finish airing so I can binge on some day later this spring. In the meantime, check out the preview for Season 2.
